Eric is the VP of Content, which is a fancy way of saying he helps lead Wikia’s fan content programming strategy, surfacing and further developing dynamic experiences around its already robust and engaged superfan communities. More specifically, he lead efforts to amplify Wikia’s naturally strong community voice by curating and cultivating content, as well as creating broader industry partnerships. In addition, he oversees the editorial strategy and product for Fandom, which launched earlier this year.
Before joining Wikia, Eric was the Editor in Chief of the Movies, TV, Blu-ray and DVD channels for the popular entertainment website IGN.com. Eric has extensive experience producing unique, compelling editorial content covering the entertainment industry, pop culture and movies. Prior to his work with IGN, Eric was Editor in Chief of both the print and online versions of Now Playing Magazine, as well as the Executive Editor for Midnight Productions, which produces several publications covering the broader entertainment industry as well as independent film.
An interesting sidebar to his career in Hollywood, Eric also served as the Unit Publicist for cult favorite films Napoleon Dynamite and Boo.
